Dr. Romick earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his dental education at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky. After practicing dentistry in Lexington for two years, he went on to complete his two-year specialty training with a certificate in orthodontics at New York University.

Dr. Romick has participated in various research activities, earning a research fellowship while at the University of Kentucky. Some of his studies have explored new methods for the evaluation of orthodontic cephalometric X-rays. He has had the opportunity to present some of his findings at international meetings in San Antonio, Texas and Orlando, Florida.
